Obama Campaign use of social networking tools

 Social websites allow people with common interests to meet, communicate and share ideas and information, through a network like the web.Social networking has greatly impacted today's society. It is so addicting and necessary that people can't live without it.Teens enjoy sharing their lives with friends and other people around the world. But they never know what kinds of danger it can create. Most likely they will start making friends with strangers.

 The topic of Barack Obama's usage of social media in his political campaigns, including podcasting, Twitter,MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube has been compared to the adoption of radio, television, MTV, and the Internet in slingshotting his presidential campaign to success and as thus has elicited much scholarly inquiry.In the 2008 presidential campaign Barack Obama had more "friends" on Facebook and Myspace and more "followers" on Twitter than his opponent John McCain. It changed his situation and won this campaign.

"The Filter Bubble" by Eli Pariser he talks about the big problem than most would realise, children will be exposed to the internet at earlier and earlier ages, if this "filter bubble" persists, their information feeds will be based on their first click. you can imagine what this might do for a child. For Mind Control & the Internet  whenever people  search for something,  it is completely different from what you originally search for especially Google. They give you results of information that im not even looking for. Some people don't really pay attention to  real information, we just pay attention to what information we know. We always depend on the popular social sites like Facebook, twitter, YouTube to keep up with society and scary to know that these websites know what links we click on.

 Sometimes  internet searches we receive seem to be an impartial picture of our personality. Your searches could come up as pleasure seeking activities or seeing the world as it really is.

The advantages of social media have been interested to  millions of people around the world over the past few years.It increases teenagers awareness in social media and make a real difference.Parents want to be aware of what their children are doing  online .  

Facebook and Myspace is where people recreate themselves and change every aspect of their real life, people have become distrustful of the internet. Questions start to raise of what is real and what is not; is there anyone out there that you can truly trust when the internet is so big and untruthful. There is the issue of knowing how much information to share and what you should avoid.
